I love-love-love this vacuum cleaner. It is super light-weight and maneuvers easily around on the floor. And it really sucks! Our one wall-to-wall carpet has never felt this clean before! It stands up well to the dirt left behind by two big dogs, and two little boys daily.The bags are not very big and I easily fill one after 2-3 times of vacuuming (about a week’s worth). I have just ordered a bag of 25 aftermarket bags at $33 as opposed to Miele’s bag of 4 for $19. We’ll see how they compare.

I would recommend this vacuum to anyone. My niece has asthma due to being allergic to dust mites and dust. This vacuum takes care of all the dust and animal fur (we have 3 cats and a dog) that we have. Filters should be cleaned, but I’m sorry for how fast does my cleaning. It ‘more silent than a regular vacuum cleaner. You can carry on a conversation with someone, even if you must raise your voice a little ‘. I also like the fact that you can vacuum a floor without having to change the head. The container comes off easily and easily back up.The only thing I can say that was a bit ‘annoying was a smaller head with a rotating brush had no way of being attached to the same unit. I had been using an upright Electrolux which was supposed to pick up cat and dog hair but didn’t. Did some research on the Miele, and although it’s expensive, it’s worth it. It picked up all the dog and cat hair from my wood floors!!! I’m really happy with my decision to buy it.

Ordered from Amazon and received very quickly with Prime. Some basic assembly to get the unit working, but no tools needed. I dont think you can do any better for vacuuming hardwood floors than the S163. You might not need this if you only have laminate, stone or tile floors (but I still recommend it) but if you have real hardowood I consider it a “must have”. We upgraded from a “cordless” stick vac and it it is night and day. The Miele is quiet, powerful and uses real dust bags for a “no touch” clean out when the time comes. It you are expecting to use this vac for the entire house, I’d think again. I’d look at this as a “hard floor only” type of machine.

I read the 2-star reviews here, curious as to how this spectacular vacuum could rate so low with some people. The primary complaint was the floor/rug attachment and how, in some cases, it pushed cat hair around instead of picking it up. This has not been my personal experience (I have a cat), but there are other attachments available for the Miele that might work better for those situations. The floor/rug attachment has some rubber components that I can see might attract hair on the bottom. But … to rate a mechanically awesome machine inferior to the point of 2 stars because of a cleaning attachment doesn’t seem fair to an overall beauty of a design. One other 2-star review mentioned a blast of air from the filter area. When you buy the Polaris, the HEPA is listed as optional.

Never thought I’d take the time to write a review about a vacuum, but this Miele Neptune is Amazing! Not only is it beautifully designed, but this is the Cadillac of vacuums. We have hard wood floors throughout, tile by doors, a 9′x12′ rug and a few other small rugs. Oh, and a Brittany that sheds a lot, but especially in the summer/warmer months. If you have a dog or other pet that sheds, this is THE MACHINE to get. We did our homework and decided to spend a little extra on this and don’t have an ounce of buyer’s remorse… we actually wish we’d bought it sooner! I bought a Cat & Dog model locally and had a problem with the release pedal. The dealer would only repair, not replace, which I thought was wrong due to the cost. When I received the “repaired” machine it was worse! I demanded a refund and got it. I liked the vacuum so much, I decided to take a chance and order another from a different place. I got the Jazz, upgraded to a Cat & Dog, and absolutely love it. My husband notices that I now vacuum a lot more because it’s so easy to use this machine. I agree with others that it’s aggravating to have to completely unwind the cord when you want to use the hose, but that’s a minor inconvenience when I consider the whole package.

We first bought a Bissell Pet hair eraser because we have two short-haired dogs that shed. It lasted 2.5 years until it died. Since an upright bagless vacuum ended up being a lot messier (and heavier!) than expected and because spending $250 dollars on a vacuum that broke in less than three years seemed silly, we decided to invest (not splurge!) on a quality vacuum. If I had the money, I would have gotten one of the top of the line $800 to $1000 Miele vacuums that I tried out at a brick and mortar store, but the Titan seemed like a good compromise.

The canister type of vacuum cleaner has been my favorite one. This model is light weight and easy to move around. The turbo brush is petite and therefore it can clean a narrow space between furniture. The vacuum cleaner also make less noise compare with some other brands. I wish the on/off button is set on the handle rather than using foot to tap the button on the canister. The vacuum cleaner comes with only one dust bag, not like my old one that comes with a box of extra four bags. The dust brush is too small and the crevice nozzle is too short.
